Ping Wang, PhD studied Food Sciences and Engineering, Biochemistry and Biotechnology for her Bachelor and Master degrees in Shanghai (China) and Wageningen. In 2007 she received her PhD degree from Maastricht University in the field of Nutrigenomics on adipocytes secreted proteins. Afterwards she continued to work on protein profiling and genome analysis for the biomarkers of weight regulation in the department of Human Biology (NUTRIM). She facilitated the setup of LC-Q-Orbitrap mass spectrometry platform for proteomics and lipidomics in the Project of Enabling Technologies. She keeps her expertise in obesity and weight regulation in collaboration with the department of Human Biology.
Since 2013 she works for the laboratory in the department of Clinical Genetics on the setup of LC-QTOF mass spectrometry platform for metabolomics in the clinical diagnostics of inborn errors of metabolism. She is also involved in research projects of cardiogenetics on phenotype, proteomics, metabolomics data analysis.
