Annick Peeters-Haesevoets was trained as a clinical chemist in Leuven (Belgium). She started to work as a research technician at Maastricht University, first at the department of Internal Medicine, later at the department of Molecular Cell Biology. She did a lot of work on cervical cancers, head and neck cancers, unknown primary tumors and human papilloma viruses.
Her main expertise is fluorescent in situ hybridisation (FISH). At the moment she is also doing routine work at the department of Pathology at Maastricht UMC+.
