Frits van Osch, MSc (1990) completed his BSc in Health Sciences at Maastricht University in 2012 and subsequently received his Health Sciences Research Master certificate in 2014 after a 1-year Master internship at the Netherlands Cohort Study on diet and cancer (NLCS). He started his PhD in November 2014 within a joint PhD project between Maastricht University and the University of Birmingham. His PhD thesis will focus on the role of smoking in bladder cancer prognosis, which he will investigate within the Bladder Cancer Prognosis Programme (BCPP) under supervision of prof. Maurice Zeegers (Complex Genetics) and Richard Bryan, PhD (University of Birmingham, Cancer Sciences). In addition, his interests are also in teaching methodology and statistics.
