Alexander Hoischen received his PhD in human genetics from the Rheinische Friedrich Wilhelms University in 2008. End of 2007 he moved to the Human Genetics department of the Radboudumc in Nijmegen, where he worked as a postdoc in Joris Veltman’s group between 2007 and 2012. Since 2013 he is PI of the Developmental Genomics Group in the same department.

His group establishes and applies latest genomics technologies for the identification and interpretation of genomic variation, with a particular focus on rare/de novo point mutations in the context of developmental disorders.
